Our Tree in Autumn

Fall Tree

Our Class With Our Fall Tree

Chinese Tallow Tree

(Sometimes called the Popcorn Tree)

This tree can get up to 30-40 ft. in height. It needs the full sun exposure. Parts of this tree are poisonous if ingested. (Meaning: don’t put any of this tree in your mouth.) It is a deciduous tree. (Meaning that it will loose its leaves in the winter time) and it has good fall colors. It is an invasive tree. (Meaning that it will cause many little trees to spout up around it)

Our Tree in Winter

Winter Tree

Old colorful leaves and new green leaves can be seen on our Chinese Tallow Tree. The weather has been warm enough this year that the tree doesn’t know if it is winter or if it is spring. Even the azaleas are blooming.

Our Tree in Spring

Spring Tree

Our Chinese Tallow Tree in the spring has grown new leaves. It’s ready to give us shade so that we can sit under it and read.
