Our Tree in Autumn

Measuring our fall tree's circumference

Michael and Alyssa use a ribbon to measure the circumference of the trunk of our tree. The circumference of our tree is 51 inches.

Our class and our fall tree

Our tree has some green, yellow, orange and brown leaves. At the top there were hardly any leaves on the branches. The trunk is slanted in the middle and curved at the top. The trunk has green moss on it.

Our Tree in Winter

Our Tree in Winter

Second grade scientists draw their observations.

We noticed that there was still
moss on the trunk of the tree.

There were no leaves around the roots of the tree.
