Our Tree in Autumn

Class Tree

Excitement! Measuring

Observing

Our class tree is a Norway Maple.  It has a bumpy bark and the leaves are red, purple and yellow-green.   We sketched our tree and measured the circumference of the tree trunk.   The circumference is 50 inches.   Our tree is especially beautiful in the fall.

Our Winter Tree

Winter Tree

Our tree is bare in the winter.   All the leaves on our tree are gone. We observed some
frozen moss on our tree.   The trunk of our tree felt hard and bumpy.   We noticed a few scar
marks on our Norway Maple tree.  We love our Norway Maple tree!

Class 2F doing spring observations

In spring, we observed our Norway maple tree. We noticed our tree had grown wider after we measured its circumference. Our tree’s circumference is now 52 inches. Our tree has red, green, and maroon leaves. We saw some brown and green moss on the bark. Our tree is beautiful in Spring!
