The
Montana state quarter was the 41st State Quarter to be released by
the U.S Mint. Montana became a state in 1889. The Montana state quarter
was the first quarter to be released in 2007. The design of this quarter
was chosen by public vote. On the state quarter of Montana you will
see a skull of a bison. It is important in the state of Montana because
it represents power. It is really sacred to the Crow and Northern Cheyenne
tribes. You will also see mountains, because Montana has a lot of mountains.
On the quarter is says “Big Sky Country.” Big Sky Country
is Montana’s nickname. It is Montana’s nickname because
of its open lands and pioneering way. |
