The final decision was made by the citizens in a vote. The objects and arrangements are the Scissortailed Flycatcher flying over the state wildflower, the Indian blanket. The Scissortailed Flycatcher is the state bird. The Indian Blanket symbolizes the rich heritage of the Native Americans.
