Mrs. Volpicelli's Class - Fall Art Work

We made some observations about our class tree. We noticed that the tree is still tall, but the green leaves are more yellow in color. There aren’t as many leaves on the tree, and there are many branches that don’t have any leaves at all. They’re bare. We drew what our tree looked like. Take a look.

In the fall, the weather gets cooler. We have had to dress differently; wearing long pants, long sleeves, and jackets, too. Look how we dressed our dolls for Fall.

I chose a long sleeve pink shirt, green corduroy skirt, heavy, thick pink heart tights, and brown ankle boots for my doll. The long sleeve shirt, tights, boots, and corduroy skirt will keep my arms, legs, and feet warm because the fabric is heavy. These clothes are appropriate for the fall. They keep you warm on a very chilly fall day.

I have my doll dressed with a sweatshirt and a pair of jeans. I chose these clothes because they keep me warm when I’m going outside to play. In the fall it gets colder, so you should wear warmer clothes.

The clothing I chose for my doll is appropriate for the fall. Hooded sweatshirts are my favorite and they keep me warm on cold mornings.

The clothing I chose for fall was an orange shirt and black pants. I chose that clothing because in fall it gets colder outside. I chose the colors because in the fall is Halloween and orange and black are the colors for Halloween. That is appropriate for fall. Now my doll can stay nice and warm.

After reading many books about autumn we brainstormed ideas of what autumn is. We each created poems to help express some of the things we like to do in fall, what fall means to us, as well as some adjectives to describe fall. These were done in the forms of list poems, acrostic poems, and diamond poems. Take a look…
